1. Open the Network and Sharing Center, this can be found in the control panel. If you do not know how to access the control panel press Windows key + R and then type inÌýcontrol panel. With ³Ù³ó±ðÌýNetwork and Sharing PanelÌýopen select,ÌýSetup a new connection or network. Select the option toÌýManually connect to a wireless network.

2. Enter the following information:

    1. ±«²Ô»å±ð°ùÌýNetwork NameÌý±ð²Ô³Ù±ð°ùÌýeduroamÌýin all lower case letters.
    2. ¹ó´Ç°ùÌýSecurity TypeÌý²õ±ð±ô±ð³¦³ÙÌýWPA2-Enterprise.
    3. For ³Ù³ó±ðÌýEncryption TypeÌý²õ±ð±ô±ð³¦³ÙÌýAES.
    4. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌý±·±ð³æ³ÙÌýto continue.

3. You should be prompted to Change connection settings. This is required to connect to eduroam.

4. With the eduroam Wireless Network Properties open ensure that the following are correct:

    1. Security TypeÌýis set toÌýWPA2-Enterprise.
    2. Encryption TypeÌýis set toÌýAES.
    3. Network Authentication MethodÌýis set toÌýMicrosoft: Protected EAP (PEAP).
    4. OPTIONALÌý–ÌýTurn on the check mark for remembering credentials. By turning on the remember check mark you will not have to keep signing on to eduroam daily

5. Click on the Advanced settingsÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô

    1. Check ³Ù³ó±ðÌýSpecify authentication mode:
    2. ³§±ð±ô±ð³¦³ÙÌýUser authenticationÌýin the drop down.
    3. Press ³Ù³ó±ðÌý°¿°­Ìýbutton.

6. In the eduroam Wireless Network PropertiesÌýclick on the settings button.

    1. UncheckÌý³Ù³ó±ðÌýVerify the server's identityÌýcheck mark.
    2. ±«²Ô³¦³ó±ð³¦°ìÌý³Ù³ó±ðÌýAddTrust External CA Root.
    3. Make sure thatÌýEAP-MSCHAP v2Ìýis selected in ³Ù³ó±ðÌýSelect Authentication MethodÌýdrop down.
    4. Optional - Leave ³Ù³ó±ðÌýEnable Fast Reconnect check mark checked.

  2. Ìý Ìý e. Press the ConfigureÌýbutton.
      1. ±«²Ô³¦³ó±ð³¦°ìÌý³Ù³ó±ðÌýAutomatically use your Windows logon name and password.
      2. Press ³Ù³ó±ðÌý°¿°­Ìýbutton.

7. Close out of the remaining dialog boxes by clicking °¿°­ÌýorÌýFinish.

8.Go to the available networks and select eduroam and then press the ConnectÌýbutton.

9.A dialog box will open up and ask you for your username and password. Your username is your °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±ÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ email address and your password is the password to your email account. Aliased emails such as first.last@usi.eduÌýwill not work you must use the original username such asÌýusername1@usi.edu. After you have entered your account information in clickÌýOK.
