The Ataya Kaser Memorial Scholarship was formed in honor of a young supporter who was tragically killed in a car accident at 14 years old. The Ataya Kaser Scholarship awards High School Seniors and College students for their creative efforts to raise safe haven awareness and education.


The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness. The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.

Kent M. Sunderman Memorial Scholarship

The Evansville North Civitan Club accepts applications for the Kent M. Sunderman Memorial Scholarship through April 15 each year.Ìý Multiple scholarships of up to $1,500 are available.Ìý Qualified recipients must be (1) a junior, senior or graduate student maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, (2) attending a 4-year college or graduate school located in Vanderburgh County or else residents of Vanderburgh County attending any accredited 4-year college or graduate school, and (3) planning a career in Human Services.
